interpack 2023 - Düsseldorf

For those in the product packaging and processing business there was only one “place to be” from 4 to 10 May 2023: interpack in Düsseldorf. Under the heading “Welcome Home” the trade fair welcomed visitors from all over the world. The joy of finally coming together, after a 6 year break, as an industry was great.

Visitors from 155 countries came to interpack 2023. 2,807 exhibitors showcased the power and creativity of the packaging industry with their technologies and solutions and dtg were there in patriotic style. While the UK celebrated the coronation of King Charles III, dtg showed the rest of the world just what great British engineering looks like.

With chocolate kindly provided by Luker Chocolate, Chris Zammit - Culinary Artist of Sweet Bake Art, produced an outstanding chocolate sculpture to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III.

The confectionery industry is very committed to supporting all aspects of chocolate production and celebrating the joy of all levels of confectionery. Chris is part of the UK Hospitality Team, UK Curry Connect, who successfully enter chefs in global competitions to highlight the talent and opportunities within the UK, they are always promoting the skill, passion and joy of sharing food. Andreas Bertram, Executive Managing Director of ZDS Central College of the German Confectionery School, kindly agreed to take home the magnificent sculpture after the show and is now proudly on display in their college in Solingen. A great deal of complimentary remarks were received, it was an honour to be sharing the sculpture with the College. Thank you Mr Bertram.
